This Thing Called Life - a poem I wrote in the early 90's. Please take some time to read.

This Thing Called Life, by Mai Calev

I have divorced myself from the world in which you live...
Too much chaos and anxiety, not enough serenity to give...

Too much judgment passed on people never known...
Enlighten me with some facts, how does your garden grow?

Is it beautiful with bright colors? Deep seeded in green?
Nourished from an unconditional love ever-lasting?  Or is
it brown and yellow, dreadful or dreary? From a life gone past
and a future worth fearing?

Do you live with regrets in your life for not knowing? For never taking
the steps towards your own growing?

For life is as precious, as love is rare... let all who have it, keep it
and handle with care... Rejoice in the moments some people never get the
chance to share.

Time spent with a loved one and taken for granted, is like a seed from the
garden that has never been planted.

In this thing we call "life" we are offered some choices: some good, some bad, some
not even worth taking, but each individual is solely responsible for the choices
they're making.

I choose to take life for all it has to offer.  I choose to be kind,  choose to smile.
I choose to love, laugh, and live all the while...

I believe in live and let live, for my memories, love and experiences, are all I have give.
