This is a photograph of some lepidolite. This particular piece has been slightly tumbled so it is shinier in some spots than others. Lepidolite is generally used to assist those with depression, or those who are struggling with sadness. This microcrystalline stone has a violet-pink to more violet color and the surface glistens as it catches the light. Lepidolite is a variety of mica, colored by lithium. In indsustry, mica acts as an insulator; in healing, lepidolite insulates the heart from hurt. Lepidolite aids with discomfort of depression and anxiety with lithium type energies and has almost a euphoric effect.
Lepidolite balances nerves and muscles, relieving tension carried in the body. It brings a sense of inner security and saftey, while assisting us in being able to trust our instincts and to assess different points of view.
When I am guided to use lepidolite during a balancing session, I know there is usually some fear or depression at the core of the person I am working with.
